The Rest of the New Work

Well, I have finished all the pieces of "Where Have All the Children Gone", at least the ones I had already started. So I will post them:

I have no idea why these are appearing into the last posting...it did this before...

Have you checked with blogger? Maybe they are having a problem. These are wonderful, by the way!

Your biggest fan!

The layout looks fine on my monitor.

But these are very intriguing. I would love to see them in person to be able to linger and look at them.

The orange/fire/smoky/wonderfulness one just takes my breath away. You constantly amaze me with the variety of styles you employ. I was so taken with your postcard series for V's fundraiser. And now these wonderful children. Great work!

I only just got to see these this morning, Liz. I've been having terrible problems seeing phots on Blogger sites for at least a week now. Anyway...

I find this series interesting conceptually and visually. On the 2nd-5th pieces the black line elements remind me of product bar codes. I don't know if that's deliberate or just my perception, but the idea works to me as it seems to tie in with the idea of people becoming numbers and less important than "stuff" and children getting lost in that process.

Good series!

Oh Liz, these are so inspirational. Your work keeps evolving and your use of color seems to intensify with each new series. I hope you bring them to SAQA so I can see them in person. I can only hope to get better by your inspiration. Thanks. Cathy
